St Hilda’s MCR

Welfare

Hi. My name is Lauren Steyn and I would like to introduce myself as your new Welfare Officer. I hope that everyone has had a good term so far. I am available to talk about things that bother you or to help you find more detailed advice. Don't hesitate to contact me on lauren.steyn@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk if you would like to make an appointment to see me. Also feel free to put notes into my pidge. I also have a weekly "office hour" in the MCR if you'd like to drop in for a chat or a cup of tea. These weekly hours will be on Mondays between 13:00-14:00, starting Monday 15th October. If you feel that you would rather speak to someone who isn't your peer, please contact Lorna Smith, our new Dean, at lorna.smith@chem.ox.ac.uk. She is more than happy to have a chat with students about anything. There will be welfare teas twice a term (dates to be confirmed) where there will be cake and other delicious edibles. Please drop in if you are available - the more people the better. Lastly, I'd like to let you all know about the welfare cupboard in the kitchen. It contains a number of bits and pieces that are there for your safety and wellbeing, including cold packs (lemsip, strepsils and paracetamol), condoms, pregnancy tests, and information pamphlets. Please feel free to have a look through the cupboard if you need anything. Also, please send suggestions about anything you would like to be added. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

You can contact me by email at:lauren.steyn@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk
