St Hilda’s MCR

The Middle Common Room

The MCR (the room)The Middle Common Room is the graduate body at St Hilda’s College. All postgraduate students, mature students taking their first degrees and fourth year undergraduates in the college are members.

The MCR is run by a committee of students who represent your views at the university and college level as well as help with welfare issues and, of course, organise the socials!

St Hilda’s MCR has its own common room which acts as the social hub with a large, comfortable sitting area, a tv room, three computers with access to the internet and a small kitchen.

The MCR also has its own computer room in South building, although students may also choose to work in the college’s well-equipped library computer room.

Since most members of the MCR live offsite in either college houses or rented accomodation, the social side of the MCR is often held in the evening and range from talks to posh dinners to challenging other colleges at Quasar.

We are currently in the process of reviewing our constitution [pdf].
